then thats where the stall speed is....thats where the converter "locks" and transfers the power to the drivetrain. the true stall on a trans brake will be a bit higher...but your converter isnt 3200 thats for sure. maybe 4200. they were off by 1000rpms on their first try with mine as well. asked for 3800 and got 4800.

I thought it felt alot looser than before I had sent it in to be redone. F$#K! I've heard a few different "ways" to determine the stall and haven't tried anything but that b/c it affects the way I launch.

It was supposed to be 3200. last stall was 2800. I think you hit the nail on the head... 3800 sounds about right. wondered why the damn gas mileage went completely to shit around town.... but sure is fun to drive.

the true way is with a trans brake.

next best way....car stopped...at idle....floor it and watch to where it shoots up to. if you can get to 4000 on the brakes it will go higher off the brakes

on the dyno, (in 2nd gear, not 3rd, b/c it will just kickdown) if you punch it, the son of a bitch will go just past 7K (flash) and come back down. shit freaks me out. does it in 3rd as well so long as it doesn't kick down. when it kicks down, lookout!!! blows the effing tires off on the highway going 70 if it kicks down. bad shit.

edit: I have a dyno video of this common phenomenon- I will have to get it from my buddy here at sam and upload it. shits wild. sounds like im sitting at 7K for about 2 solid seconds then it "loads down" and goes back down to 5000.
Nobody here at sam likes converters. they think they are bullshit and told me to get rid of it. I wouldn't mind a stick really.

Well road my old rocket I sold to my friend 2day. I might have had one of the best top speeds on the site. 186MPH!!! Bike pulls like a MOFO! I wonder if the owner b4 me built the internals, some of the parts (like the exhaust) looked like they had been removed before.
