i put bbk headers on my 2001 gt and the heat from just driving down the street melted the factory ac line ( because one of fords better idias, they made the line half ****l half plactic ) does any one make an after market that is all ****l. or do you thingk if i bought a new factory one and wraped it in header wrap it would be good.

Hmmm.....reinstall the headers? I have Mac Longtunes on the car, and BBK is better quality, I never had any heat issues...
that is very unusual.
i put a set of frpp headers on my car with no problems and have never of any clearance problems like you describe with the bbk headers.
i would get a new oem line from ford parts and reinstall the headers and check your clearances before you turn the key.
there shouldn't be any issues with the bbk headers providing they are the proper size.

that is weird, something is probably routed wrong, but get the factory line don't deal with the autozone type junk

i had a guy at my step dads work put them on because he had a lift in his pole barn. and i did not want to mess with it on the floor and on my back so i had him do it, i put up this thread before i seen it thinking it might be a common problem, but it turns out all the guy had to do is zip tie it to another ac line that runs right above it and it would have been fine, but he did not bother to check for clearence issues be for he started it. his simple mistake, my wallet i ordered a new line from ford. just need to put it on and fill with refrigerent. thanks for the info. i appreciate it
