Hey Guys, whatz up. I have a question about my notchback. I wondering if I started with a 351w bored, stroked, and a supercharger. Besides performance heads, intake, cam. I was wondering about how many ponies this would bring to the table. A goodfella in need. :italianfl

frpp, world products, a bevy of remanufacturing shops/distributors, etc..

the amount of horsepower you can make with a tall deck 351 windsor is only limited to your pocket book.

some pro 5.0 cars usually run 408 windsors w/power adder making around 2,000 hp.

it just depends on the amount of compression, intake, heads, cam profiles, etc.. you want to run.

it's really going to depend on how much street use/ daily driving/cruising you plan on doing too. YOu can build a 2000 hp "street" car but it won't drive worth a shit. Depending on boost and all the other aspects MM2K listed above, I would say you can easily make 500-600 reliable, street friendly horsepower. THe torque curve of the 408 would be just nasty too.

I don't know about supercharged, but a 351w bored and stroked to 408, with the right parts can make at least 550hp if not more.

Not nearly enough information to answer the question.

If you're looking for a 351w, look in the salvage yards. Alot of Ford trucks came with a 351w until, about the mid 80's, I think. If not trucks, look for a full size car. Most of them came with either a 351w, 351c, 351m, or even a big block.

in order to give you a decent guess we would need to know what goodies you plan on putting into the 351w. the HP could be all over the map depending on what you plan to run for heads or how much boost you want to run or even the cam and intake.
