Stock 98 Cobra vs. 99 Lightning

someone on another board asked this but I'm curious now. I think the Lightning will rape the stock Cobra, the Lightning has been tuned and has a CAI maybe exhaust.

the '99 lightnings came with 5.4L w/eaton supercharger, 3.55 gears w/steel driveshaft, and was rated at 360 hp.

the lightning will beat a '98 cobra.

i've seen a lightning pickup run 12.90s with nothing but a dyno tune, jlt rai, and drag radials. otherwise, stock truck.

they run pretty damn good for 4,800 lbs.

the same motor package in a fox-4 cobra chassis would run low 11s.

i guess it will depend on alot of variables....most lightnings even with DR's spin quite a bit on the street. Both vehicles are 13 second rides from the factory, assuming they both run on the same cool day and the cobra has a good driver....if all things are equal when they race, and the L has a few mods it will win fo sho.

i beat a few pullied corbras when i was close to stock, but a few beat me also..
