If you factor in that my intake and exhaust were on my car when I bought it, I have about 1500 in mine too... It's more than capable of running 11s, sounds like a mustang should, and gets 25+mpg on the freeway.

I don't see the 6-banger allure. To make a 6-cyl run 10s, you'll be dumping 20 grand in the thing and won't be able to drive it anywhere because it won't idle for shit. Not to mention it'll always look stupid when the sound of the V6 is bellowing out of the Y-piped exhaust

Maybe I bought a V8 (3 V8 mustangs since i was 17) because I didn't want to blow a shit ton of money on a depreciating asset? buying the stuff to build the motor isnt all you have to do...you have to take it to a shop to get the motor bored...then they will have to install everything, because with all the shit you are talking, im sure you couldnt install all of this yourself...

6 packin, what are your current mods? i would really like to know. you say youve beaten v-8 mustangs before. so waht you running. and i dont see putting a v-6 in the 10s for less then 5K as you stated. figure your turbo setup and tuning would cost aht maybe, then you need supporting mods, and evne then a turbo is not gonna drop you from waht 16 15 second stock 1/4 mile times to 10 second times. and so we prefer v-8s that does not make us cocky pricks. with todays technology in power adders and what not you can make any engine run better then the next size up. its all prefernce

Do you really think that 2k and a turbo is all you need to run a 9.80. Sounds like you are the ignorant one. There is ALOT more to a car that just that. What about suspension and transmission modification, rear end etc etc. That is not cheap. It is evident that you have never built a car. I've built 3 for the track and a few more just for fun. It's a fucking waste. A V8 equipped car comes with an 8.8 that can handle a good amount of power with good axles. A trans that won't pop with moderate power. The suspension is better from the factory. If you are talking about race cars, I've seen a 4 cylinder run faster...so whats your point? Anything can run fast, but it takes more money and effort. If you want a race car WTF would you buy a 2004 V6 for? It's a boat for a race car and has no ideal features in it. A Fox body is a much better race platform for many reasons and it would be faster than your car before it reached the retail on that POS.

you have flows, headers, pulleys, CAI, and SCT tune. thats good for maybe 25hp max

the flows will give you nothing, as their some of the most restrictive mufflers out there, the headers actually will give you a slight gain if any, cuz the car is mostly stock still. the pulleys maybe 5 hp and same with the intake. maybe 3-4 for the spacer if your lucky. and the only saving grace you have is the sct tune

second, not too bad of a time in the 8th. did you spray? slicks? ect ect
on motor alone (as of january but ive upgraded more shit) my best time was a 9.2 with a 2.45 60 ft time (street tires, stock converter, gears)
since then ive added 4.10 gears, QA1 k member and coilovers, upr uppers and lowers and nitrous. so now it wont wheelhop on me anymore i might put down some decent times. im getting strange adj struts/shocks on the 15th of this month.
im being honest, its not the fastest fucking thing on the planet but its not a slow pos either.
