many people out there have been in my position before looking for a intake worth paying for. i myself currently have the trickflow 2v manifold. it has yet to be installed on the car due to the fact it's being port matched to my heads, just reading in the new issue of mm& ff where the site is already making magazine hype and came across the logan motorsports new 2 valve intake. just wanted to see the thoughts everyone had between the trickflow and logan intake, the good the bad i want to hear it all. the more power we can squeeze out the better you know?!? in my opinion they should do tests on bone stock motors to see the gains and losses but that's just me...and for $1500 this thing better be amazing ha, so far i'm still stuck on my trickflow intake.
the real shocker

yeah i def. will, but the numbers will be with vt stage 2 heads and cams and althought the heads are ported and polished stock i have further taken my port work and the intake will be port matched as well. but i'll keep everyone posted

How much do you expect to gain from this mod?
Would it be beneficial to have this intake if I plan to get blown?

I have a PP 75mm Throttle Body + Plenum...I was wanting the Typhoon one day but it seems from your opinion to stay away....????
Yeah Scott the Typhoon is garbage don't go with that. I am not sure about the Logan intake just because they did the test on a heavily modded 02 GT and that just doesn't help the N/A guys at all. I have a lot of respect for Trick Flow so that is what I plan on going with.
Hey SikGT if you plan on being blown then an intake would be a great benefit for you because that is when the aftermarket intakes tend to shine. As far as N/A guys the stock intake does really well and helps you keep your low end torque unlike most aftermarket pieces.
Probably a good time to change the plugs while the intake is off.

Just swap out the stock intake for the Bullitt intake and some better heads..and since youll have the engine already torn apart, do the cams too

Yeah Bullitt intakes seem to be good from and handle a beating from what I hear

I have the professional products intake on my blown 99 gt. I have not had any problems with it besides the intake gaskets that they supply with it blew out on me.

Yep, the Bullitt intake and tried and true. No guess work and the numbers particularly in blown cars show the benefit. Even the latest mag test of the new 2V intake mentions the Bullitt and how it fares against their much more expensive intake.

You should go the Logan route since you plan on getting the T76 setup. That intake would look badass nestled under your hood cowl. With the nasty plans you have, You would probally benefit better with the Logan intake. Build you a nice strong block for boost support with that Hellion kit and your car will be an animal!

Logans did the tune on my car and I've seen the Logan intake evolve from the beginning. They did extensive testing on my buddies Boss 330 built 2V and I think ended up with ~315hp at the wheels. This was with the non-trumpeted runners prototype. As of right now, I don't know that it is really beneficial on an N/A setup unless it is an all out race car. I thought about getting one for my car but I don't see the benefit because I don't turn the car to super high rpm and don't have a built bottom end or huge cams. I'm just running VT stage 2's on stock heads with longtubes and full bolt-ons.
you need to get some better heads on that car brandon and that fucker will fly

I just picked up a new heart for this car... not sure on the direction I will be taking it.
The Trickflow is really just a bullitti ntake to be honest...but its priced at what Bullitts usually go for USED!!!!
Its an awesome intake. I saw the Logan Motorsports intake at NMRA Joliet and it looked AWESOME......if you do plan on going turbo or high boost, perhaps THAT is the intake for you!
