Hey all. I'm new to the site. I have a 1968 Mustang, a 1970 'Cuda, a 91 CRX, a 92 Civic HB, a 93 Civic HB, and a 1997 ITR.

Thank you. They all run, they were all "project cars" at one point. My father in law restores classic cars, so we did my stang and cuda together.

ITR=Integra Type-R

I've noticed the "dislike" of imports. But, I've done all the work on all my cars, and I'm damn proud of them. I'm not out there to be the fastest, I simply love cars.

Oh sorry .....Welcome.

Just so you know I have no problem with imports and have acctually had them most of my life. Our dislike is the all show no go types that come around here saying

" My kill list consists of an 03 Cobra that I took by 50 car lengths with my LS powered hatch that has the following mods: Undercar Neon, Wings West Body Kit, Neon Shifter, 8" Exhaust tip....yeah I got the good one with the LED's built into it, Carbon fiber hood, etc...etc....etc..... oh yeah I do have an injen cold air intake"

Things like that get under our skin the same as if one of us went to a Ferrari board saying "I tore up a 360 by 10 cars in my 01 GT auto with the only mod being weld in Flowmasters"

See what I am getting at.

So again welcome and hope you stick around we never have enough women on here anyways.

BTW '70 Cuda......Are you married and if so are you happy?? HAHA

Why thank you. I hope to stick around. There aren't many girls who are really into cars. They're into guys with cars.

And believe it or not, most of us "ricers" are appalled and embarrassed by body kits, neons, carbon fiber, wings, and 18's on a civic. Because those make you sooo much faster!

And, I am not married.

So need a husband.....or boyfriend lol or whatever would get me into that Cuda??

I have been wanting a Cuda ever since my dad got rid of his when I was like 10.

Oh you wouldn't be considered a "Ricer" though, we generally reserve that term for the all show no go crowd. If it car run as fast as it looks its all good.

Let me ask you something though that I never could figure out. Most imports such as Hondas and Acuras only have one advantage and that is weight. Why in an effort to make a car fast would you add on 200+ pounds of Neon, Body Kits, TV'v, X-Boxes, and all of that other crap???

HAHA! This is one of life's great mysteries! I have no idea.

Now, IMO, you can't compare a Civic to a Mustang. They're totally different classes.

My civic sure isn't fast, but, it's not meant to be, it is simply my vision of what the civic should be. Plus, there are a ton of options for the civic, and I like to fuck around.

I love the Cuda, too. I found it sitting in a barn. It was my second love. (My first was a 1997 Twin Trubo Supra)

I am getting married in October.

Sorry to hear about your upcomming wedding. I am getting married in May of 06 myself. As soon as I can find a Cuda for the right ammount I am getting it even if it takes 20 years to restore it haha.

I know what you mean about the Supra I loved mine until I rolled it on a road course haha, Luckily I had caged it about 2 weeks earlier.

LOL! Congratulations on your wedding! This is my 3rd go around, and I think this is right! (I haven't been married before, I have been engaged 2 other times)

I'm sorry about your supra. They are a beautiful car. It's good that you're ok after rolling it!

welcome to MM, i personally dont have any problems with import cars, but like has been previously said in this thread, it's crap like that i have a problem with, stuff that is obviously BS, the only thing i have seen get more than 10 cars put on it in the 1/4 was an 87 chevy blazer with a 2.8L L6, and that was sad, it was about 35 cars, but when you claim 12 second times like the particular person who wrote that story did, you aint putting 20 cars on a high 13, low 14 second car......anyway, back on topic, welcome to MM....

Or the huge wing on a FWD car to create rear downforce lift the front tires thus decresing traction for those BA fast and furious racecars

LOL. Well thank you. I love my Cuda, too. But, it's dark gray, not cool yellow, which I'm sure as you all know, adds at least 50 hp...

And no. I will never tell you my car stomped on anything by 30 car lengths! I love my Honda's, but they're not the fastest things in the world. They're just small and comfortable for tiny people like me. Plus, I don't waste my time racing anything! I like my low insurance rates. The last ticket I got was about 5 years ago on my bike, and I'd like to keep it that way.

lol, yup........my last ticket was about 1 1/2 years ago........."drag racing from stop light to stop light." i don't want another one either...........hehehe

Welcome to the board. I just joined myself.

I've always loved fast cars, can't claim I know much about buidling one though, that's Mr. Blownup5oh's deal. Though I don't think I'll get away with my ignorance much after he starts building my dream car for me, '68 mustang fastback. Fell in love with Eleanor and just have to have something similar.

Congrats on the wedding. We're getting married in October too!

Again welcome to the board.
